How I Edit
6/4/2015 I would like to start of by saying, I use Final Cut Pro X. This doesn't mean you have to use it. But it is what I use. Create a new Library. Inside that Library create a new Event and Project. Import my video clips into the new event. Scrub through the clips and find the ones I intend to use. Import parts of these clips into the timeline. I like to plan out the video by rearranging the clips immediately. Go through each clip and colour grade each scene I like to try and manipulate where my audience looks. I use shape and colour masks to bring out colours and flatten some colours. I aim to direct my audiences eyes to the target (grapes). I then add any other effects to the clips. Vignettes and cinema bars. Next step is to import some music. I then trim the clips to the beat of the music. Make sure you have all the clips you want. Always start editing from the beginning when putting clips to the beat. Add some intro and outro text if you need it. Export and share your finished product. Get feed back and change. Get more feed back and change again. Finally you have a finished product. Share this with all your friends. Send me some feedback. |
