I have only had a few years of videography, but I have been hugely influenced in this time. These people have been an inspiration to me. I am constantly looking at their work. Philip Bloom Philip is an amazing film maker, director of photography and role model. I cannot begin to describe how he has influenced me. I would say he was the second main reason for me starting videography, (I'll get to the first later.) His content on his blog http://philipbloom.net/ is really speechless. He writes amazing posts and is always documenting his experiences. I think I really connected with him because of 1 reason. He began videography because someone recommended he did videography rather than photography. I can completely relate to this (I'll explain later.) I would love for you to go check out Philips blog here. It's a blog like no other. He may be a beautiful film maker but he is also a role model. Simon Cade Simon Cade is a amazing up and comer film maker. He is young but is extremely knowledgeable. He is consistently posting Youtube videos. This is a immersive way to learn film making. I was really inspired by him because he is so young. I love how intelligent and confident he is when he does his videos. His maturity for his age is legendary. You wouldn't believe how young he is. He is the best videographer Vlogger/Blogger for his age. He is deserves a bigger following than what he has. I cannot wait for when his next video comes out. You have to go check this young man out if you want some inspiration. And last but not least... My Dad, AKA Leon Mead My dad has been an amazing supporter for me. He has pushed me, encouraged me and helped me. I made a few references to him in this post before. I will try and explain those references now. My dad is a professional photographer. He was who inspired me to pick up a DSLR. I believe I picked up a 5D mi. This of course didn't shoot video. Instead he gave me his old 5D mii, which did shoot video. I immediately learned how I could use this new toy. I must say I had been an assistant for my dad before this. So I did have a understanding of settings. I ran around the house and began shooting. I didn't really know what I was doing but I enjoyed it. The next day my dad was out gardening and came across a stick insect. I grabbed my camera and his old tripod and set out to film this. In hindsight this started my craze. I got the shots and edited them using iMovie. I think my dad was impressed because I was only 12 and had captured some amazing footage. You can see it here. It's not much of a video but it was for me at the time. My dad has supported me all the way. He has helped me with equipment and editing. I love bouncing ideas off him. It's him I owe everything to. People who influence you are every where. You should look for a couple who you should inspire to be like. I always find myself thinking about them during hard times.
